Head Of The River Race

Hot drinks & cakes and a BBQ serving bacon rolls and burgers are available from about 11:00.
The Ferryboat Inn has very kindly offered visitors the use of their loos. Please support and respect the pub, its
seating and its clients and only use pub seating (inside or out) if you are a pub customer.
‘Leave No Trace’: as a club we are going plastic-free; there will be a refill station for refilling of water bottles.
After the racing, please join us at Gweek clubhouse for an evening of eating, drinking, prize giving and dancing.
Parking
The race starts at Helford Passage and finishes at Gweek, and the after-event party is at Gweek. Car parking is limited at Helford Passage and at Gweek Clubhouse - please Car Share - and follow instructions from Marshalls.

Programme
- 10:00 to 12:30 - Towers will be met at the top of hill, Helford Passage. A £15 per gig, £5 per skiff launch
fee needs to be paid to the Marshall. Tow your gig to the beach when advised to do so.
HRGC will help unload your gig at the beach. Skiffs, Flashboats and Regattas to be
launched. HW 0552 4.9m, LW 1216 0.9m, HW 1802 5.1m
- 10:00 to 12:30 - Tow your trailer to Gweek slipways. Tower rowers remember this is a 50-minute round
trip. See map for suggested route and in Gweek look out for yellow ‘Trailer’ signs.
14:30 Cox’s meeting near to Ferryboat Inn. You will be given a start time based on handicap.
Please follow guidance given at the Cox’s meeting.
- 15:15 Crews need to leave Ferryboat beach.
- 15:45 Start in handicapped groups from mouth of river.
- 16:45 Finish at Seasalt Quay.

Gigs will be called out on VHF Ch 72 to one of two slips at Gweek.
Your trailer will be brought to the slip for you to recover.
16:45> HRGC towers will tow your trailer and gig to Gweek Clubhouse
