Handicapped Pursuit Race
The 4 mile pursuit race starts from the mouth of the Helford and finishes at Gweek Quay. You will be given a start time based on your handicap. We welcome gigs (wooden and plastics), skiffs and flashboats.
• Arrive with your gig at Helford Passage from 09:30
• Launch Gig on beach (TR11 5LB)
• Tow trailer to Gweek (TR12 6UF)
• Coxswains Meeting 14:00
• Race Start 15:00
• Party and prizegiving at Gweek Clubhouse from 17:00 (TR12 7AE)
We hope you have a great day. Hot drinks, cakes and a BBQ serving bacon rolls and burgers are available from about 12:00.
The plumbing at the Ferryboat is rather temperamental, please use the toilets in the portaloo's provided. Please support and respect the pub, its seating and its clients and only use pub seating (inside or out) if you are a customer of the pub.
‘Leave No Trace’: as a club we are going plastic free; there will be a refill station for refilling of water bottles.
After the racing, please join us at Gweek clubhouse for an evening of eating, drinking, prize giving and dancing.
Car parking is limited at Helford Passage and at Gweek Clubhouse - please Car Share and follow instructions from Marshalls.
